JOB SUMMARY:
The Grants Coordinator shall be responsible for supervising & reviewing / or processing financial transactions in respect of allocated Projects, as specified by the Manager - F&G. The Finance Coordinator shall be responsible for:

The Grants Coordinator shall be responsible for managing management accounting function of the grants assigned. Key responsibilities includes:
• Reviewing financial aspects of grant agreements prior to the commencement of the grant.
• Provide periodic reports on grants budget for donors covering all financial aspects, budgetary guidelines and reporting instructions.
• Reviewing grant opening checklist for assigned grants to ensure that grants are opened fulfilling all the pre-requisites set out in the grant agreement for effective and efficient monitoring of the grant.
• Reviewing grant closing checklist for assigned grants to ensure all the grant related financial reporting deliverables have been met as per the grant agreement.
• Liaison with external/internal audit and LFA/donating agencies to facilitate their monitoring, reviews and audits
• Monitoring of grant budgets on regular intervals.
• Facilitate in the processing of LCs received from PSM, GHD.
• Developing reprogramming budgets, budget realignments for submission to granting agency as and when required.
• Reviewing monthly budget variance report highlighting major over runs, reviewing it along with the relevant program team and suggesting corrective measures.
• Monitoring reporting schedule for all the reports due to the granting agency and other relevant stakeholders.
• Reviewing monthly and quarterly financial reports, disbursement request, financial forecast as per the granting agency agreement.
• Reviewing Capital Expenditure Budget Approval form and provide approval in line with the approved budget and granting agency policies.
• Periodic review of Sub Recipients’ financial reports, GL, Payroll and all related financial processes and policies
• Supervise and monitor activities of Finance Officer
• Carry out any other responsibilities, as required by the Manager Finance and Grants
