- General Job Objective
The Technician will be responsible for running sputum samples in the Gene Xpert modules to test for TB
- Key Job Responsibilities
- The Technician will assist the screener, helping patients produce sputum samples
- S/he will make efficient use of the gene xpert modules, ensuring that they are running effectively all day for completion of a maximum number of tests
- The technician will complete all paper work and data collection required – including collecting data from the patient
- The technician will work with the Site Supervisor and the overall project maintenance team to keep the Gene xPert modules in running condition, including calibrating at regular intervals
