Job Description

The Senior Technical Support Executive is responsible to provide operational management, maintenance, and support to hospital management information system (HMIS); ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and hospital operations. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, project management, and collaboration with clinical, non-clinical staff and other stakeholders.
  • Provide advanced, second-line support for complex technical issues related to hospital management information systems (HMIS), and other clinical or administrative software; includes monitoring system performance, analyzing and resolving technical issues efficiently, and minimizing downtime.
  • Utilize expert knowledge to resolve varied and complex technical issues, often requiring in-depth root cause analysis.
  • Translate complex technical situations into simple terms for non-technical staff for better understanding.
  • Manage and plan projects for implementing new systems, significant enhancements, or software upgrades. This involves leading testing, design test plans, and ensuring systems are fit for purpose and present no clinical risks.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including clinicians, administration, IT teams, and external software suppliers, to ensure smooth operations and address system issues.
  • Provide specialist training, guidance, and support to other IT team members and end-users across the campus on new systems or functionalities.
