Job Description
- Perform comprehensive checks, calibration, and troubleshooting of anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, and infusion devices.
- Support advanced airway management, invasive monitoring, and regional anesthesia techniques under supervision.
- Ensure availability and safe handling of anesthesia drugs, gases, and consumables.
- Oversee inventory control of anesthesia equipment, drugs, and disposables.
- Liaise with OR nursing, ICU, emergency, and biomedical teams for seamless service delivery.
- Assist in scheduling preventive maintenance and downtime planning for anesthesia equipment.
- Coordinate with Biomedical Engineering and CSSD for equipment servicing and sterilization.
- Actively participate in emergency codes (e.g., Code Blue, mass casualty response).
- Maintain logs for equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
- Participate in audits, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation and handover of anesthesia-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for medical gases and anesthesia systems.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in anesthesia technology and best practices.
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
