Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare blood components from whole blood, including Packed Red Cells, Platelets, Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP), Cryoprecipitate, Cryosupernatant, Washed Red Cells, and modified/divided products.
- Receive whole blood units and donor samples and ensure proper processing for TTI testing as per SOPs.
- Perform quality control, e- verification of unit, and visual inspection of blood products.
- Process donor samples for infectious disease screening through routine, emergency, and manual testing modules.
- Perform operation, maintenance calibration and quality TTI assays manual and automation.
- Maintain proper retention and documentation of donor samples.
- Conduct routine checks of blood storage equipment, including refrigerators, platelet agitators, and freezers.
- Maintain highest level of professional and ethical behavior at work.
- Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols as per AABB Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies.
- Perform any other task assigned by the management.
