· Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop prosthetic/orthotic treatment plans; provide rehabilitation services to orthopedically and neurologically impaired patients under the guidance of the Supervisor
· Takes part in the assessment and prescription; advises on the design of the prosthetic/orthotic devices, fabricate, fit, suspension and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices.
· Ensure proper fitting and delivery of appliances in time (minimum possible time). Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients with in gait training areas, and adjust for proper fit, function, and comfort; Adjust prostheses or other assistive devices in assembling hall.
· Ensure team work and implementation of patient flow within the center as defined, for assessment, casting, rectification, fitting, delivery and follow up.
· Provide patient education on device usage, safety, hygiene and care; monitor patient progress and make necessary modifications if required.
· Maintain workshop standards and safety compliance; ensure proper material selection and device durability.
· Support post-surgical and long-term rehabilitation programs.
· Maintain standard quality of appliance as per guidelines of WHO, ICRC and IHHN.
· Ensure quality standards and minimum required production levels with the rehab team members.
· Update daily patient records (In HMIS System) pertaining changes in gait training, component issuance etc.
· Keeps standard ratio of production of devices per month (25-28 patients/month including bilateral devices & 50% prosthetic cases) including major & minor cases as per IHHN guidelines.
· Ensure quarterly material demand of raw materials, prefabricated components, machines, machines tools, working tools and equipment's needed.
· Ensure proper use of machinery, equipment and tools and should be aware of alternate ways in case of any breakdown of equipment's to manage the ongoing work.
· Ensure economical use of materials with minimum wastage of materials.
· Follow and implement proper procedures, such as wearing goggles, gloves and masks to avoid any health and safety hazard while handling certain materials.
· Promote a patient-centered culture; monitor patient satisfaction, complaints and service feedback.
· Address patient concerns in coordination with the Deputy Manager, PRC and escalate issues when required.
· Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards.
· Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
· Perform any other task assigned by the Head of Department that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
