Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and advanced microbiological testing, including culture processing, identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, serology, parasitology, mycology, and microscopy, in accordance with established SOPs.
• Prepare and handle media, reagents, and stains, and operate relevant microbiology systems and techniques such as VITEK 2, API, E-strips, and MIC testing.
• Conduct daily quality control and EQA activities, ensure accuracy of results, maintain required turnaround times, and communicate abnormal/critical findings to relevant clinicians or consultants.
• Support laboratory audits, quality and compliance requirements, including internal and external audits, while maintaining appropriate documentation and records.
• Maintain inventory, equipment, and maintenance records, perform routine analyzer maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with biomedical/vendor teams when required.

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: BS - MLT
• Experience: 02-05 years as Technologist / Staff Technologist – Microbiology (Required)
• Job Shift: Rotational Shifts (Morning/Evening/Night)
