Job Description
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including clinical, functional, and biomechanical evaluations, and determine appropriate prosthetic and orthotic interventions.
Develop and implement individualized prosthetic and orthotic treatment plans in coordination with the rehabilitation team.
Liaise with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Prescribe, measure, cast, design, fabricate, fit, align, and modify prosthetic and orthotic devices according to individual patient requirements.
Educate patients and caregivers regarding the correct use, donning/doffing, maintenance, hygiene, safety, and care of prosthetic and orthotic appliances.
Monitor patients’ progress and arrange follow-up assessments to evaluate fit, function, comfort, skin condition, and overall clinical outcomes.
Identify and address device-related problems and coordinate timely repairs, adjustments, replacements, or modifications.
Ensure that prosthetic and orthotic devices are produced and delivered according to prescribed specifications and required quality and safety standards.
