Job Description
The PeopleCode Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining PeopleSoft applications to meet the business needs of the organization. This role involves working closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement customizations, enhancements, and integrations within the PeopleSoft environment using PeopleCode.
- Develop and modify PeopleSoft components such as pages, components, records, menus, and PeopleTools objects.
- Design, develop, and maintain reports using PeopleSoft Query, Pivot grids
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and review technical design documents for development projects.
- Conduct unit testing and support system testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified during testing phases.
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Provide technical support for PeopleSoft applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Participate in on-call support as required.
- Perform regular maintenance activities, including updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
- Ensure all modifications and customizations are well-documented.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide project updates.
Technical Expertise:
- Experience with PeopleSoft Application Designer, Application Engine, Integration Broker, and Component Interfaces.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft Query, XMl Reports and Pivot grids.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solution modules is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
