Job Description

​Responsible for preventing injuries from radiation in coordination with designated radiologist or Medical Physicist, recommending or approving corrective actions, identifying radiation safety problems, initiating action and ensuring compliance with regulations on network level

- Supervise and perform MRI procedures of the patients as per prescribed by the physicians to facilitate them for proper diagnosis and treatment as per departmental protocols ensuring the safety of patients and equipment.
- Ensure appropriate patient Radiation exposure in all radiology procedures and the use of proper factor (KVp and mAs) in X-Ray, CT Scan, Fluoroscopy and mobile X-Ray imaging.
- Ensure safe handling of Radiation equipment in coordination with area Supervisor and Manager.
- Ensure radiation safety guidelines for staff, patients and attendants are communicated in written form.
- Perform MRI of patients as per guidelines whenever needed. 
- Adhere at all times to Hospital Code of Conduct.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Notify/report incidents related to patients, staff, visitors and any untoward occurrences in a timely manner.
- Follow and comply with Infection control protocol and guidelines for better patient outcomes.
- Ensure proper handling of systems and equipment's and take the responsibility of department fixed assets and inventory.
- Follows procedures to assure that supply stocks are ready for use. Indent supplies (not part of unit stock) on patient and ensure proper and timely consumption on current system.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients and families at all the times.
