Job Description

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of diesel and gas generators (gensets).
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure gensets operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve genset issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous power supply.
  • Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of turbine systems, including steam and gas turbines.
  • Ensure regular inspections and preventive maintenance are conducted to maintain optimal turbine performance.
  • Address and resolve turbine issues promptly, coordinating with external experts if necessary.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of high-tension (HT) panels and associated electrical systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure HT panels function within safety and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HT panel issues, including electrical faults and system malfunctions.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of power house maintenance staff and technicians.
  • Provide training and guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and technical skills.
  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and effective execution of tasks.
  • Ensure all power house operations and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Perform safety audits and implement corrective actions to address any identified hazards or compliance issues.
  • Assist in developing and managing the power house maintenance budget, including cost forecasting and expense control.
  • Oversee procurement and inventory management of spare parts, tools, and supplies related to gensets, turbines, and HT panels.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and system performance.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on power house operations, maintenance issues, and performance improvements.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized services and repairs related to power house equipment.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and service quality.
  • Collaborate with the project office on expansion tasks and power house-related projects.
  • Develop plans for the maintenance and operation of new power house facilities, including during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Provide estimates of labor and material costs for repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Create and submit regular reports to management and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor/Head of Department.
