Job Description

Assistant Manager QMD is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of Quality and patient safety programs with in the campus. This role involves ensuring that healthcare services are delivered in accordance with established quality standards, regulatory requirements and best practices for patient safety.

1: Quality Management:

  • Assist DM in devising DPI (Departmental Performance Improvement) programs, aligning them to HWRI (Hospital wide performance Improvement)
  • To be on ground to Implement policies, procedures and guidelines for Quality Assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Assist in Monitoring compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards and internal policies.
  • As planned and advised by RM/DM, conduct audits and quality assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure Continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Leading SO’s and Officers of campus to work on ground.

2. Patient Safety:

  • To join data analyst in collection of feedbacks, complaints, incident reports, sentinel events, and other safety-related data.
  • To analyze Feedbacks, Complaints, Near Miss events, Incidents, Sentinel events at Campus level to ensure updated database records, sharing with DM/RM, and managing the above within timelines to close the above well in time.
  • To verify the above data and related details for accuracy, before logging the data in data base, and before sharing with DM/RM for
  • Assist DM in conducting RCA and FMEA for significant incidents.
  • Help implement effective preventive actions and corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Leading SO’s and Officers of campus to work on ground.

3. Data Management & reporting:

  • Collect, analyze data on KPIs related to Quality and patient safety.
  • Assist DM in preparing regular Campus reports for senior management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of reports to manager.

4. Staff trainings and development:

  • Assist in developing and delivering trainings programs on Quality Improvement and patient safety for clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Provide guidance and support staff on best practices.
  • To provide trainings at basic level to non-clinical and clinical staff for quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Leading SO’s and Officers of campus to work on ground.

5. accreditations and regulatory compliance:

  • Assist in providing support to staff in understanding regulatory compliance standards of relevant regulations and accreditation requirements
  • To get involved at departmental levels, to help staff to get ready for inspection by team from accrediting body, by placing tick mark on boxes for the ready tasks.
  • During the team visit, to be on ground to assist departmental team to conduct audit,
  • After the visit, helping departmental team to remove any objections to submit report to DM.
  • stay updated about changes in regulations and assist in ensuring organizational policies and practices are updated accordingly.

6. Patient and family engagement:

  • Support initiatives to involve patient and their families in their care ensuring that their feedback is used to improve quality and safety.
  • Assist in developing strategies and dissemination for patients and family education materials on patient safety and quality issues.
