JOB SUMMARY:
Assist Cardiologist by assuring quality and safe care to the patient undergoing for the Cardiac Procedures.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to manage the procedure list of patients on Daily basis.
Responsible to check proper consumption of Medical and Surgical Supplies.
Responsible to supervise and train the junior staff as a Scrub. Circulator and Primary role in Cathlab.
Insertion of femoral Arterial sheaths.
Assist Cardiologist in diagnostic and intervention procedures
Provide medical / cardiac history of patients to Cardiologist.
A: Departmental Competencies
To perform head to toe assessment
To perform I/V Cannulation.
To perform catheterization.
To perform 12 lead Electro Cardiogram (ECG).
To insert Naso Gastrial Tube and Perform Naso Gastrial or Oro Gastrial feeding following its general principle.
To perform the last offices of the patient with sensitivity
To provide general orientation to patient and the family and participate in patient and family education regarding Procedure.
10 give and take complete over of Cath room, equipment's and special assignment.
To learn the normal values of basic biochemistry and hematology investigations.
To shift out the patient independently
To demonstrate preparation and receiving of patient independently.
Responsible for safe handling of Temporary Pace Maker, Intra Aortic Baloon Pump and Fractional Flow Reserve.
Safety/Infection Control
Responsible to know and demonstrate elements of Patient and Environmental safety as follows:
Routine safety checks
Medical Gases and O2 supply
Radiation safety(TLD BAGDES AND LEAD APPRON)
Suction apparatus and Anesthesia Machine Tubing
General infection and emergency precaution
Hemodynamic (Axiom Sensis)
Surgical hand washing
C: Cardiac Patient Management
Able to perform continuous cardiac monitoring.
Ensure quality and safe care to the patient undergoing following procedures:
Left & right catheterization
Graft check
Aorta Root Angiography
RHC/ASD/VSD/PDA
TABP
Pacemaker
Angioplasty
Intubations
Radiology Procedures
Patients for re-look procedures
Sheath removal
Responsible to interpret cardiac enzymes.
Able to perform Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with current standards and Certification.
Responsible for continuous cardiac and rhythm strip monitoring and interpretation.
Responsible for safe blood sampling and proper understanding of sending cardiac enzyme.
D: Ventilation Management
integrate basic knowledge of mechanical ventilation in patient care.
Responsible to handle patient with safety on different ventilator mode and intervene quickly to ventilator alarm.
To demonstrate nebulization throughout/TT/face mask.
E: Hemodynamic Management
To do cardiac monitoring for (ECG, NIBP, SPO2, CVP, Arterial BP).
To assist in line insertion (CVP, A-Line)
To manage patients with arterial line and central venous catheter (except Swan).
