Job Description

1. In addition to all task and responsibilities performed by the technicians, be able to perform:
2. Daily heat block QA
3. Daily maintenance of Serofuge, cell washer, cytotherm and water bath.
4. Daily serology reagent quality control
5. Blood grouping
6. Rh testing
7. Cross Matching
8. Weak D testing.
9. DAT-testing
10. Red Cell Allo Antibody Screening
11. Red Cell Allo Antibody Identification
12. Red Cell Antigen pheno typing
13. Resolve ABO Discrepancies through
14. Strict pre warm technique.
15. Increase Serum to cell ratio technique.
16. Saline replacement technique.
17. Antibody Titer
18. Prepare Alsever’s Solution.
19. Prepare Reagent Cells.
20. Be able to calibrate Cell Washers and  serofuge
21. Perform workup and reporting of difficult serology cases.
22. Any other task assigned by the Supervisor/Head of Department.
