Job Description
Responsible to supervise shift duty staff with close monitoring and provide the services of patient meals, cafeteria/catering, food production, food supplies as per approved menu. Responsible for smooth functioning of NFSD operation as per the laid down systems and procedure(s) related to assigned areas and maintain effective communication/working relationship with other staff. Responsible to insure implementation of NFSD policies and procedure(s) related to assigned areas. Responsible for the effective operation of NFSD / patient meal delivery and staff meal providing as giving schedule and menu.
- Responsible for Daily Staff Punctuality, on and off duties and breaks, overtime and request for leave.
- Responsible to supervise service staff within time-bar allotted each position and time frame for each task monitor and evaluate the work and guide where required.
- Responsible to implement staff duty schedules within the available functional resources and also can change where needed.
- Responsible to ensure Standards of employee’s personal hygiene, hair-cuts, uniforms, nails cuttings, head and beard covering, face mask as per department policy and procedure.
- Responsible to handle staff complaints, behavioral or attitude problems or if any staff require counseling.
- Responsible to ensure implementation of policies & procedures and effectively monitor operational standards and maintain appropriate.
- Responsible to control & monitor perishable – nonperishable food supplies e.g ordering / inventory/ storage/ safety of food supply / food leftover/ food waste on daily basis.
- Coordinate and supervise food preparation of food products serve to patients/ staff / guests and visitors.
- Responsible to ensure the food and beverage requirements of the cafeterias are supplied properly maintained and monitored throughout the service time.
- Responsible that all food served at cafeteria’s serving lines are of correct temperature (hot, cool and cold), garnish and accompaniments and mise-en-place procedures are followed.
- Responsible to supervise cleaning staff to maintain constant standard of hygiene and sanitization in the kitchen and cafeterias.
- Responsible to conduct daily cafeteria stock item inventory in coordination with finance cashier and records are maintained on daily basis.
- Responsible to prepare daily statistical report related to patient meal delivery status.
- Responsible to prepare daily statistical report cafeteria sale (registered, non registered staff meal/ Snacks and breakfast).
- Responsible to ensure closing kitchen and cafeteria in his/ her presence with checklist (door locks, gas valves/ burners, water taps, cleaning of department, Refrigerators, Deep freezers, Stock return from cafeteria).
- Any other task assigned by immediate supervisor
