Job Description
- Conduct OPDs and manage TB patients in line with national and international guidelines.
- Create and adjust treatment regimens for DR-TB and DS-TB in coordination with the Program Lead and ID team.
- Manage referrals, inpatient admissions, and emergency stabilization as needed.
- Document patient care accurately in registers and HMIS; ensure timely data entry.
- Monitor lab results and report adverse drug reactions and serious adverse events per NTP protocols.
- Coordinate with clinical, lab, and program leads for complex case management and deviations from standard protocols.
- Participate in case reviews, clinical meetings, and internal trainings.
- Support quality assurance by implementing protocols and reporting incidents in coordination with the QA Officer.
- Stay updated with new TB and clinical guidelines and incorporate changes into practice.
- Prepare and compile data/reports for PTP, NTP, and internal reviews when needed.
- Assist in contact tracing and ensure preventive therapy is initiated for eligible contacts.
- Participate in NTP/PTP visits, DR-TB reviews, and quarterly DOTS meetings when assigned.
- Coordinate with departments such as ER, Pulmonology and Infectious Diseases for patient care and referrals.
- Facilitate care for co-morbid conditions within clinic capacity and ensure referral follow-up.
- Support community and outreach activities as part of integrated TB care services.
