To provide an efficient, effective and timely service in relation to the
provision, repair, maintenance, quality assurance and construction of
prosthetic and orthotic devices for the physically disabled. The goal is to
help patients achieve mobility, functional goals and quality of life as the
technology may allow. The Prosthetist and Orthotist along with physiotherapist
will formulate the treatment plan. P&O will fabricate the
prosthetic/orthotic devices for fitting, and implement and review the treatment
plans.
• Provide Rehabilitation Services to
orthopedically and neurologically impaired patients under the guidance of the
Supervisor Rehab [Senior Ortho-Prosthetist/Centre Manager, where required.
• Liaise with the Rehab team regarding patient
(diagnosis, prescription, designing and other problems relevant to the patient)
where required. Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and
prescriptions for orthotic or prosthetic devices. Collaborate with healthcare
professionals to plan or provide treatment.
• Examination, prescription, designing and
selection of proper components for the patient.
Qualification:
Bachelor
in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
Fresh graduates may apply; however, preference will be given to candidates with experience in clinically oriented workshops manufacturing P&O devices.
