Job Description
Responding to Emergency Calls:
EMTs are the first on the scene of medical crises, responding to calls for help and providing immediate care.
Patient Assessment:
They assess patients' injuries and illnesses, determining the severity and providing appropriate treatment.
Basic and Advanced Life Support:
EMTs perform life-saving procedures like CPR, airway management, and advanced procedures like intubation and defibrillation.
Medication Administration:
They administer prescribed medications according to medical protocols.
Patient Transportation:
EMTs prepare patients for transport to a hospital, stabilizing their condition and ensuring safe delivery.
Documentation and Reporting:
EMTs maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and interventions.
Collaboration and Communication:
They work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, to provide optimal patient care.
Disaster Management:
EMTs are trained to handle natural disasters, providing medical care and support in emergency situations.
Equipment and Medicine Recognition:
They are knowledgeable about the equipment and medications used in emergency situations.
Maintenance and Quality Control:
They ensure that ambulance and equipment are well-maintained and adhere to quality standards.
