Job Description

Academic Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars using student-centered learning approaches.
  • Assist in syllabus planning, development, and revision for assigned subjects.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with course objectives (theory and clinical practicums).
  • Evaluate and revise lesson plans and teaching materials as needed.
  • Ensure curricular quality aligns with institutional standards.
  • Assess students’ performance during group discussions and practical sessions.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer through practical skills, techniques, and critical thinking.
  • Identify students’ learning needs and tailor objectives and delivery methods accordingly.
  • Conduct assessments and ensure effective grading, adhering to academic integrity policies.
  • To challenge thinking; foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, assignments, and evaluations.
  • Work closely with specialty faculty during clinical practicum by organizing student activities according to course outcomes.
  • Supervise students in clinical practicum to ensure achievement of learning objectives and professional competency.
  • Supervise students’ clinical portfolios and logbooks.
  • Prepare and submit examination questions and related materials within deadlines.
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with advancements in the field.
  • Provide pastoral care and first-line support to students when needed.

General / Administrative Responsibilities

  • Uphold professional standards and adhere to institutional policies of administrative affairs and terms of employment.
  • Maintain student attendance records and submit them to relevant authorities.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively while working autonomously and collaboratively with senior colleagues.
  • Pursue   continuous   self-development   through   workshops, research, and   professional engagement.
  • Contribute to institutional activities such as course reviews and evaluations according to SAR, and team-building exercises.
  • Maintain records of teaching activities for audits and performance reviews.
  • Fulfill examination-related duties and other assignments as directed by the principal.
  • Any other assignment given to him/her by the Principal ICMAH.
