Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids including blood, urine, and CSF.
- Calibrate and operate all instruments in Chemical Pathology Lab
- Proper storage of samples of abnormal results
- Issuance of accurate reports
- Run quality controls on daily basis, review LJ plot, run EQA and its interpretation
- Smooth and efficient running of Chemical Pathology section.
- Validation of all tests performed in Chemical Pathology according to CAP requirement.
- Proper maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Inventory management
- Maintaining all records and documentation according to CAP requirements
- Preparing SOPS
- Liaison with clinicians during reporting of unusual or abnormal results
- Coordination with the IT staff for interfacing, LIS development and implementation Coordination with other relevant department i. e purchase biomedical, maintenance etc. Developing and implementing reporting formats according to CAP requirements
- Training and teaching trainees, junior technologists, rotational staff and students Monitoring internal and external quality control program
