Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids including blood, urine, and CSF.
  • Calibrate and operate all instruments in Chemical Pathology Lab
  • Proper storage of samples of abnormal results
  • Issuance of accurate reports
  • Run quality controls on daily basis, review LJ plot, run EQA and its interpretation
  • Smooth and efficient running of Chemical Pathology section.
  • Validation of all tests performed in Chemical Pathology according to CAP requirement.
  • Proper maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Inventory management
  • Maintaining all records and documentation according to CAP requirements
  • Preparing SOPS
  • Liaison with clinicians during reporting of unusual or abnormal results
  • Coordination with the IT staff for interfacing, LIS development and implementation Coordination with other relevant department i. e purchase biomedical, maintenance etc. Developing and implementing reporting formats according to CAP requirements
  • Training and teaching trainees, junior technologists, rotational staff and students Monitoring internal and external quality control program
