We are looking for Manager - Pharmacy Operation in our Pharmacy Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations across all service areas (IPD, OPD, ER, OT, Cath Lab, etc.), ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant medication practices.
Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate pharmacy staff while fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning.
Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure adherence to DRAP, JCI, WHO, and hospital standards. Lead medication safety initiatives, audits, and quality improvement programs.
Clinical Services Integration: Oversee clinical pharmacy services, including medication review, counseling, drug utilization, and collaboration with medical teams for optimal patient care.
Inventory & Procurement Management: Monitor inventory, coordinate with supply chain, and support procurement decisions to ensure uninterrupted medication and device availability.
Policy & Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement pharmacy policies and SOPs. Streamline workflows and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Specialized Services: Supervise trial drug management, sterile/hazardous compounding, and pharmacy-related medical devices in line with applicable standards (e.g., GCP, USP <797>/<800>).
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Serve as liaison with clinical departments, committees, and external stakeholders. Provide ongoing medication-related training across the hospital.
Reporting & KPIs: Monitor and report pharmacy KPIs, stock usage, and performance metrics. Conduct audits and share regular updates with senior pharmacy leadership.
Academic & Professional Qualification:
- Pharm.D. or B. Pharmacy required; a Master’s degree in Pharmacy, MBA, MPH, BCPS, or other relevant certification is preferred.
- Registered with the Provincial Pharmacy Council.
Experience:
- Minimum 8–10 years of hospital pharmacy experience, including 3–5 years in supervisory or management roles within complex healthcare systems.
- Experience implementing JCI, WHO, or DRAP-compliant pharmacy systems preferred.
- Proven knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding regulations and practices.
- Experience managing investigational drug services is a strong advantage.
