Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in community mobilization, BCC/SBCC campaigns, or behavior change programming. • Previous work with health facilities, schools, women’s groups or local influencers is an asset.

Education

Bachelor’s/master’s degree in public health, Social Sciences, Mass Communication, or related field. Training in SBCC, hygiene promotion, or community engagement preferred.

Job Description

Task & Responsibility:

  • Roll out SBCC project plan at the district level and carry out field execution of behaviour change communication interventions to promote gender-responsive hygiene, sanitation, MHH and health-seeking behaviours.
  • Collaborate with Community Health Workers (CHWs), teachers, women’s groups, youth and religious leaders to co-develop culturally appropriate and inclusive messaging and tools.
  • Coordinate closely with BHU staff and Health Managers to align BCC sessions with health service delivery and referral pathways.
  • Conduct periodic capacity-building sessions for social mobilizers, volunteers and community platforms to enhance message delivery.
  • Monitor effectiveness of campaigns and recommend adaptations based on feedback and community engagement data.
  • Maintain a repository of IEC materials, visibility content and documentation of good practices.
  • Support the MEAL Officer in collecting qualitative data and case stories for learning and reporting
