Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in community engagement, public health programming, training, or capacity building.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a Master's in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field
Job Description
Position Summary
The Senior Program Officer – Community Engagement Center will lead the organization’s training and capacity-building agenda, developing high-quality awareness and communication materials for public health interventions, including communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, mental health, maternal & child health, World Health Days, and projects.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Capacity Building
- Design, plan, and lead training programs for community workers, supervisors, and partner staff.
- Develop training modules, manuals, facilitation guides, and presentations.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNA) and ensure quality training delivery.
- Oversee training documentation, evaluations, and follow-up support.
Awareness & Communication Material Development
- Develop culturally appropriate IEC/BCC materials for community awareness and outreach.
- Design content for campaigns related to communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, maternal & child health, and mental health.
- Coordinate with the communications unit for print and digital material production.
Program Coordination & Technical Support
- Provide technical input to community engagement strategies and field activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, field offices, and external stakeholders for effective implementation.
- Prepare progress reports, briefs, and documentation for management and donors.
- Support the monitoring and evaluation of CEC activities.
- Demonstrated experience in IEC/BCC development and health communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office, presentation tools, and training methodologies.
- Willingness to travel to field sites as required.
