Experience
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience including 3-4 years in a managerial capacity. Vast experience of procurement, installation, and maintenance of biomedical equipment in a healthcare setup is required.
Job Description
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures to align biomedical services with organizational goals.
- Lead the biomedical department in setting and achieving targets that support the organization's strategic plan and patient safety objectives.
- Oversee medical equipment planning, procurement, technical evaluation, and upgradation by providing technical evaluations, cost analysis, vendor research, and pre-purchase assessments.
- Supervise acceptance testing, technical inspections, and the integration of biomedical equipment across all sites to ensure safe and effective use.
- Investigate and report incidents related to medical devices, coordinate responses to recall notices, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory audits and standards.
- Serve as a liaison between the biomedical department and internal stakeholders, actively participating in relevant committees and collaborative projects.
- Manage and coordinate biomedical engineering projects, including installation, configuration, and commissioning of clinical equipment.
- Monitor and identify obsolete or high-maintenance devices and recommend appropriate replacements or upgrades.
