Job Description

  1. Manage teams of Database Administrators, Systems Engineers, Programmer Analysts and Trainees and provide them technical guidance. Leadership in Continuing Professional Education function is an important responsibility for this position.
  2. Coordinating Procurement for Technical guidance and assessment for new equipment induction in IT department.
  3. Analyzing access, information, and security requirements; designing the system infrastructure.
  4. Planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software and operating system management.
  5. Maintaining the performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning. • Designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to development team / vendor.
  6. Securing the systems access, monitoring and back-ups.
  7. Supervision / Performance monitor of team.
  8. Development & continuous improvement of QI and P&P.
  9. Ensure effective implementation of Policies & Procedures.
  10. Ensure availability of systems as per defined standard.
  11. Communicate with Venders on matters related to customer support, product evaluation, and licenses.
  12. Short term / long term projections of required resources based on the actual usage & IT plans.
  13. Refine, enhance and enforce the formal standards for system / database design and maintenance. • Work with software development team to help in the database design and design and sizing for new applications and enhancements.
  14. Manpower planning and recruitment.
  15. Report on the progress and outcome of all projects and activities undertaken and their resource utilization on a regular basis.
