Job Description
- Assist in the collection of soiled linens, help to wash, dry, and fold them, and then delivers clean linens to hospital departments.
- Collect soiled linens from designated areas and sort them by type, size, and level of contamination to prepare them for washing.
- Fold clean linens and other items, and may use steam presses or ironers to press bedclothes.
- Clean and maintain the laundry room area and equipment, including daily cleaning of dryer filters.
- Maintain accurate counts and records of linen and uniform stock, documenting usage.
