1. Diagnostic Oversight & Result Validation
Supervise microbiology laboratory benches, review test results and quality control data, validate reports, and ensure timely communication of critical results to the clinical teams.
2. Quality Control & Infection Control Coordination
Monitor QC of biochemical and microbiological tests, ensure adherence to SOPs and infection control standards, and communicate relevant findings to the Infection Control Nurse (ICN).
3. Clinical Correlation & Patient Follow-up
Perform patient history review, support antibiotic follow-up, and provide clinical correlation of microbiology results in coordination with treating teams.
4. Academic & Training Responsibilities
Participate in academic sessions, guide and support junior doctors, residents, and technical staff, and contribute to ongoing education and professional development.
5. Departmental Support & Reporting
Assist in departmental documentation, audits, and reporting, and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by senior consultants or departmental leadership.
Qualification & Experience:
- FCPS
(Microbiology) with valid PMDC registration.
- Fresh
- 01 years of post FCPS experience.
- Experience
in a CAP Accredited laboratory (Preferred).
