Job Description

  • Regularly monitor and clean staff and patient washrooms, ensuring proper cleaning SOPs at all times.
  •  Clean and disinfect patient rooms, examination rooms, operating rooms, and other hospital areas.
  •  Dispose medical and general waste according to infection control guidelines.
  •  Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizers.
  •  Clean floors, windows, and surfaces using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
  •  Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
  •  Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor.
  •  Follow hospital protocols for hygiene, infection control, and safety.
  •  Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  •  Assist in emergency cleaning needs, including spills or outbreaks.
  •  Ensure housekeeping trollies are neat and clean during the shift.
  •  Use color coding mop as per guidelines. 
  •  Hand over clean floor to the next shift. Clean, mop, scrub, sweep or vacuum floors, stairways and halls.
  •  Clean patient rooms and/or offices thoroughly by mopping floors, washing furniture, and cleaning and washing washroom fixtures. 
  • Ensure sanitation of hospital premises.
  •  Accountable to be present on allocated location and in case of shift change, handover tasks to the next shift properly.
  •  Adhering to all safety regulations, including the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
  •  Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor.
