Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assigned patients in Critical Care Medicine Department (MICU/HDU) in shifts to complete 200hours/month and follow IHHN rules.
- Responsible to look after critically ill patients in the assigned area of MICU/HDU and take history, examine in detail, implementing discussed treatment plan with Registrar/consultant in time and document in HMIS.
- Requesting blood investigations and imaging expediting their reports and take urgent appropriate action after consultation of Registrar/Consultant on Call.
- Inserting Central Line, arterial line and applying NIV independently
- Intubation and maintaining airway under supervision of Registrar/Consultant.
- Supervising Medical Officers and nursing if needed.
- Attends & present cases in rounds daily.
- Coordinate different specialties regarding their patients. Timely update them about any change in the status of patient.
- Attentive and manage emergencies of MICU/MHDU patients, communicate with related on call, follow and document instructions from concerned attending/specialties
- Strictly follow Critical Care Medicine department & Indus Hospital (IHHN) SOPs for patient management, infection control and invasive procedures.
- Taking and giving proper over of patients on bedside to next shift doctor.
- Counsel patient/next of kin, taking Consent, respecting rights of patient and update if condition of patient deteriorates.
- Follow Indus Hospital dress code, rules, rights, regulations and guidelines as per Human Resource.
- Should continue to improve knowledge and skills by attending CME sessions, workshops etc.
Work Experience:
- Mandatory one-year house Job, PMDC registered
- certified for BLS/ACLS
- Working experience in critical Care unit with Ventilator management with/Or
- Having Skill of airway & Intubation, Inserting Central line and/or arterial line.
