· Assist in food service operations, including coordination, cooking and execution of daily activities.
· Ensure patients receive meals that meet their specific dietary requirements and medical needs, in collaboration with nutritional guidelines.
· Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to guarantee high food quality, and adherence to all food safety and health regulations and standards within the healthcare facility.
· Adhere to the policies and procedures for patient meals, cafeteria, catering, store supplies, safe food production & kitchen operational safety practices and recommend improvements to upgrade the services for smooth and quality operation in food services.
· Ensure standards of employee's personal hygiene, haircuts, uniforms, nails, and head covering as per the department protocols
· Train and supervise patient meal staff for assembling of patient's food and ensure that the trays are properly made and properly distributed at wards
· Coordinate and supervise food preparation and portioning of all food products served to patients, attendants and staff
· Responsible to control and monitor unpreserved food supplies e.g., ordering/inventory/storage/safety of food supplies/food wattage
· Ensure that food and beverage requirements of the cafeteria (s) are supplied and properly maintained and monitored throughout the service time
· Responsible that all food served at the cafeteria (s) serving lines are of correct temperature, garnish and accompaniments and mise end-place procedures are followed
· Responsible to be physically present during the service hours in order to monitor complaints, suggestions and compliments from customers, take corrective action on complaints in consultation with seniors.
· Responsible and supervise the setup and service of catering official events as directed by management.
· Supervise dish washing operation and ensure that correct operation of the dishwashing and proper detergents is used
· Ensure that all cutleries, crockery, glass ware, utensils serving equipment, pots and pans are washed and sanitized before use in any food service area
· Responsible to ensure that prepared food of beverages are transported "covered" to any place of service
· Maintain accurate manual and/or computerized records of food production, meal services, and other relevant administrative data
· Support security protocols, ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and secure and maintain service excellence standards
· Perform any other task assigned by the Head of Department
