Experience

Job Description
- Build trust within the community to encourage women and children (<=5 years) to access antenatal care (ANC), postnatal care (PNC), gynecology/obstetrics (Gyn/Obs), and pediatric services.
- Identify women including pregnant and postnatal mothers, requiring gynecology consultations, as well as children needing medical care, and refer them to the Rural Health Center (RHC) for consultation, treatment, and follow-up.
- Track and document all referrals to ensure timely and appropriate care, and follow up with referred individuals to confirm attendance and address any challenges in follow-up care.
- Collaborate closely with Lady Health Workers (LHWs), Lady Health Supervisors (LHS), and other community health partners to ensure comprehensive health services reach all eligible individuals.
- Develop and implement a monthly field plan outlining outreach activity, visits to Lady Health Workers’ (LHWs) health houses, community sessions, and household visits. Share the plan and report with the Monitoring and Coordination Officer and IHHN’s Community Engagement Center (CEC) for review and alignment with program objectives.
- Organize and conduct awareness sessions at the RHC and in the community on maternal, newborn, child health (MNCH), gynecology, obstetrics, pediatric care, and other health-related topics.
- Utilize educational tools, including pamphlets, posters, and demonstrations, to enhance community understanding and participation.
- Identify and document key case studies and success stories within the community that demonstrate the impact of maternal, gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatric health initiatives.
- Participate in regular team meetings to review outreach progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- The Community Outreach Worker will serve as a vital link between the community and RHC KTS.
