Job Description
- In addition to all task and responsibilities performed by the technicians, be able to perform:
- Daily heat block QA.
- Daily maintenance of Serofuge, cell washer, cytotherm and water bath.
- Daily serology reagent quality control
- Blood grouping.
- Rh testing.
- Cross Matching.
- Weak D testing.
- DAT-testing.
- Red Cell Allo Antibody Screening.
- Red Cell Allo Antibody Identification.
- Red Cell Antigen pheno typing.
- Resolve ABO Discrepancies through.
- Strict pre warm technique.
- Increase Serum to cell ratio technique.
- Saline replacement technique.
- Antibody Titer.
- Prepare Alsever’s Solution.
- Prepare Reagent Cells.
- Be able to calibrate Cell Washers and serofuge.
- Perform workup and reporting of difficult serology cases.
- Any other task assigned by the Supervisor/Head of Department.
