Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in qualitative research and programme evaluations.• Demonstrated experience conducting FGDs, KIIs, and qualitative analysis. • Experience in SRHR, MNCH, Family Planning, or community health programmes preferred. • Strong understanding of qualitative research methodologies and thematic analysis. • Excellent facilitation, analytical, and report writing skills. • Ability to handle sensitive discussions with professionalism and cultural sensitivity. • Preference will be given to candidates familiar with the local language and context of the project districts.

Education

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Economics, or related field.

District Larkana (6 FGDs and 5 KIIs) and District Qambar Shahdadkot (6 FGDs, 5 KIIs), Sindh

Duration
1 month (including preparation, fieldwork, analysis, and report writing)

Key Responsibilities

·         Lead planning and implementation of qualitative research activities for the baseline study of utilization of SRH/FP services.

·         Review and refine FGD and KII discussion guides in consultation with the project team.

·         Conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with Local Support Organization (LSO) members and community and religious groups.

·         Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with government officials, health service providers of SRH/FP, and other stakeholders.

·         Ensure discussions are conducted in safe, private, and culturally appropriate settings.

·         Obtain informed consent from participants before conducting FGDs or KIIs.

·         Seek explicit permission before audio recording and ensure participants understand their right to decline.

·         Ensure confidentiality and anonymity of participants.

·         Supervise note-taking and documentation of discussions.

·         Develop a coding framework for qualitative data analysis.

·         Conduct thematic analysis of qualitative data.

·         Triangulate qualitative findings with quantitative household survey findings.

·         Prepare qualitative summaries and key findings for inclusion in the baseline report.

Assist the project team in report writing and interpretation of findings.
