Education
MBBS, BDS, Pharm-D, BScN, Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or a related discipline. A Master’s degree in Healthcare Management (MBA/MHA), Public Health (MPH/MSPH), Quality Management / TQM, Epidemiology, or similar relevant discipline will be preferred. Diploma or Certification in Healthcare Quality will be preferred.
Job Description
A. QUALITY MANAGEMENT & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintaining of quality management systems.
- Assist in the implementation of establish performance metrics and monitor quality indicators to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Assist in the institutional initiatives to meet International quality standards by implementing defined policies and audit performance improvement of different departments of the hospital.
- Assist Head of Department / Manager QMD, primarily in JCIA related initiatives and facilitate under supervision staff in conducting JCIA related tracers.
- Develop strategies to ensure maintenance and sustainability of the hospital wide compliance to the goals and objectives of the regulatory bodies and/or Joint Commission.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including those set by health commissions and accreditation bodies.
- Facilitate clinical governance processes to improve patient safety and care outcomes.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to analyze patient care processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Supervise periodic reviews of departmental quality systems to ensure compliance to applicable standards.
B. LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT:
- Design and deliver training programs for staff on quality improvement methodologies and patient safety practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability among all staff members.
- Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to promote quality initiatives.
- Engage with physicians, managers, and staff to facilitate discussions on quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives.
C. RISK MANAGEMENT:
- Provide assistance to end users in maintenance and analysis of the “Incident Reporting System”.
- Identified risk are properly analyzed to identify root causes of system failures and enhance system performance through process improvement and formulate reports.
- Design and support the implementation of solutions to eliminate recurring failures and improve systems performance.
- Development of Risk Register at all the facilities.
D. DATA ANALYSIS & REPORTING:
- Analyze data related to patient outcomes, safety incidents, and quality metrics to inform decision-making.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on quality improvement initiatives and outcomes.
- Perform periodic reviews of departmental quality systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards, and QMD indicators.
- Ensure the validity of data and quality-related KPI’s and compliance of all departments on regular basis.
- Implement the defined strategies to ensure the maintenance and sustainability of hospital-wide compliance to the goals and objectives of the PHC and other regulatory bodies.
- Draft data-driven plans related to the area of assignment (e.g. Risk Management, Quality Improvement, Data analysis, etc.).
E. PATIENTS COMPLAINTS, CONCERNS & ISSUES:
- Ensure the rigorous maintenance of established departmental policies and procedures, aligning with institutional objectives and the quality management program.
- Provide expert guidance to patients and their attendants, addressing concerns and facilitating solutions to enhance their experience.
- Assist in the developing and implementing strategies aimed to improving patient convenience across all public interface counters in collaborating closely with consultants, physicians, and departmental managers for giving better services to the patients and solve their problems.
- Work to deliver superior services and resolve patient issues effectively.
- Compile and analyze departmental statistics, attend meetings as required, and keep the Head of Department informed about ongoing activities, complaints, and significant issues.
F. OTHER TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the department in different forums as and when needed.
- Carry out 6 monthly and yearly analysis for complaints, in specific, and other data as per need.
- Perform any other task assigned by the Head of Department and/or by the management that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
