Job Description
- Conduct community outreach sessions to raise awareness about treatable surgical conditions.
- Educate communities on early identification of surgical needs and available services.
- Promote health-seeking behavior and address cultural or social barriers to surgical care.
- Identify individuals in the community who may require surgical intervention.
- Facilitate referrals to designated healthcare facilities under the program.
- Assist patients and families in understanding referral pathways and procedures.
- Guide patients through pre-operative, operative, and post-operative processes.
- Conduct post-operative follow-ups to monitor recovery and compliance with medical advice.
- Report complications or concerns to the medical team promptly.
- Ensure adherence to prescribed treatment and follow-up visits.
- Support monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Take care programs assets, inventory, and supplies.
- Maintain excellent records of patient treatment progress.
- Promote respect, cultural sensitivity, and community trust.
- Adhere to institutional policies, compliance with program SOPs, ethical standards, and data protection requirements to maintain confidentiality.
- Troubleshoot and support all areas of programmatic work as required
- Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
