Job Description

The lecturer is responsible for providing following activities under the guidance and supervision of the Head of Department. 

  1. Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate and/or diploma students on topics according to academic syllabus using relevant teaching strategies.
  2. Keep well-informed of development in their filed by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
  3. Prepare course materials such as syllabus, homework assignment, and handouts.
  4. Supervise Student’s laboratory/skills and clinical work.
  5. Evaluate and grade students’ class work, laboratory/skills and clinic work, assignments, and papers.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
  7. Plans, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
  8. Assess clinical based teaching/ learning needs of students by utilizing a variety of methods.
  9. Complete administer and grade examinations.
  10. Advise students on academic and vocational curricula, and on career issues.
  11. Maintain students’ attendance records, grads and other required records.
  12.  Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.
  13. Supervise undergraduate and /or diploma teaching, internship, and research work.
  14. Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic Issues.
  15. Coordinate Training program with concerned universities/ Board, clinics, hospitals, health agencies, and /or other inst6itutions.
  16. Compile bibliographies of specialized materials for outside regarding assessments.
  17.  Select and obtain materials and supplies such as textbooks and laboratory equipment.
