Job Description
The lecturer is responsible for providing following activities under the guidance and supervision of the Head of Department. - Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate and/or diploma students on topics according to academic syllabus using relevant teaching strategies.
- Keep well-informed of development in their filed by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
- Prepare course materials such as syllabus, homework assignment, and handouts.
- Supervise Student’s laboratory/skills and clinical work.
- Evaluate and grade students’ class work, laboratory/skills and clinic work, assignments, and papers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
- Plans, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
- Assess clinical based teaching/ learning needs of students by utilizing a variety of methods.
- Complete administer and grade examinations.
- Advise students on academic and vocational curricula, and on career issues.
- Maintain students’ attendance records, grads and other required records.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.
- Supervise undergraduate and /or diploma teaching, internship, and research work.
- Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic Issues.
- Coordinate Training program with concerned universities/ Board, clinics, hospitals, health agencies, and /or other inst6itutions.
- Compile bibliographies of specialized materials for outside regarding assessments.
- Select and obtain materials and supplies such as textbooks and laboratory equipment.
