Job Description

  1. Deliver hands-on training sessions and engaging lesson plans for participants on resuscitation techniques (such as CPR, using AEDs) and other emergency life support skills.
  2. Update training materials, ensuring they align with the latest scientific evidence and resuscitation guidelines from organizations like the American Heart Association (AHA).
  3. Update course materials, ensuring they align with the latest national and international emergency life support guidelines and protocols.
  4. Teach various life support courses (e.g., CPR, ACLS, PALS Resuscitation courses) to hospital staff and the community.
  5. Conduct both in-person and online training sessions, using simulators and mannequins to provide hands-on practice.
  6. Coordinate training schedules, manage logistics, and oversee the registration process for courses.
  7. Ensure all participants meet the requirements to receive recognized certifications and that the instructor maintains their own certifications.
  8. Assess participant comprehension and practical skills through observation and feedback, ensuring they can apply the learned techniques effectively.
  9. Assess student competency through practical sessions and written tests, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized records of participant progress, attendance, and performance for internal hospital tracking, HR and AHA policies compliance.
  11. Maintain the data for monthly course fee deduction as needed.
  12. Continuously update personal knowledge and skills by staying current with CPR guidelines, emergency procedures, and new technologies in emergency medicine and PAM.
  13. Ensure training equipment and materials are in good working order and readily available for training sessions.
  14. Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust to improve quality and impact.
  15. Ensure all training activities adhere to the standards set by IHN, provincial, national and international regulatory authorities.
  16. Close liaison with Emergency Response Team at network level for the standardization and guidance.
  17. Collaborate with other instructors/institutions and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency in teaching and adherence to standards and AHA guidelines.
  18. Perform any other task assigned by the Head of Department that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
