Job Description
- Valid driving license with proven experience driving ambulances, cars, jeeps, pickups, and double/single cabin vehicles.
- Safely transport patients, medical staff, and official personnel as assigned.
- Ensure prompt and safe response to emergency calls while complying with traffic laws and emergency driving protocols.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including fuel, engine oil, coolant, brakes, tires, lights, siren, oxygen system, stretcher, and emergency medical equipment.
- Maintain the ambulance in clean, hygienic, and roadworthy condition at all times (internally and externally).
- Responsible for vehicle logbooks, fuel records, mileage tracking, maintenance records, and other required documentation.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor immediately.
- Assist medical staff in safely loading, unloading, and transferring patients when required.
- Ensure all emergency equipment and supplies are available and functional before each shift.
- Follow approved routes, monitor traffic conditions, and select the safest and fastest route during patient transport.
- Adhere to organizational safety, security, infection prevention, and patient confidentiality policies.
- Remain available for emergency duties, after-hours assignments, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Ensure compliance with all transport regulations, organizational policies, and donor requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
