Job Description

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize wastage, and ensure uninterrupted availability of medicines and medical supplies across all PCP sites.
  • Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels based on average monthly consumption and ensure at least two months' buffer stock considering procurement lead times.
  • Monitor pharmaceutical inventory through regular stock assessments, consumption analysis, and demand forecasting.
  • Ensure all pharmaceutical products comply with DRAP regulations and quality standards, including review of product registrations and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).
  • Establish and oversee quality assurance systems for acceptance, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
  • Ensure proper storage practices, including temperature and humidity monitoring, quarantine management, product labeling, and maintenance of bin cards and stock records.
  • Extract, compile, and analyze monthly stock consumption and inventory reports, and provide timely data
  • Develop and implement SOPs for inventory management, storage, distribution, stock security, and disposal of expired or damaged products.
  • Conduct physical and virtual audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, and address quality, regulatory, and operational issues promptly.
  • Develop and strengthen pharmacovigilance systems, ensure ADR reporting mechanisms are functional, and promote rational drug use through staff training and monitoring of antibiotic utilization.
  • Oversee the management of narcotic and controlled medicines, ensuring secure storage, proper documentation, prescription compliance, and adherence to DRAP requirements.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy teams and clinical staff to forecast medication needs, manage distributions, and maintain adequate stock availability.
  • Establish and maintain the organizational formulary in coordination with Clinical Leads and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage pharmacy personnel, including recruitment, performance management, staff development, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Review and approve procurement, inventory, and stock management documentation.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and provide data-driven recommendations to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
