Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (Pharm-D) is mandatory. Additional or internationally recognized certification in Supply Chain Management will be considered an added advantage.

Job Description

General Job Objective

The Officer Supply Chain will be responsible for managing the procurement of medical and general supplies, ensuring timely availability of materials, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting efficient supply chain operations in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate procurement of medical and general store items as per organizational requirements.
  • Process purchase requisitions and prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and Work Orders (WOs) in accordance with the TIH Procurement Manual.
  • Ensure the availability of required materials at the most economical cost and within the required timeline.
  • Verify quotations, conduct comparative evaluations, and prepare comparative statements where required.
  • Review purchase orders to ensure compliance with approved specifications, quality, quantity, and pricing.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding quotations, negotiations, deliveries, warranties, and after-sales support.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and keep concerned departments informed of procurement status.
  • Inspect received materials, resolve discrepancies, and process rejections where necessary.
  • Maintain and update the approved vendor database and procurement records.
  • Verify market prices regularly and ensure procurement at competitive rates.
  • Maintain complete documentation for Purchase Orders, Work Orders, and related procurement records.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department.

Required Skills

  • Good understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with accuracy.
