Job Description
- Perform and validate routine and high complexity specialized laboratory tests in assigned sections (Hematology,
Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, etc.) as per defined SoP's.
- Ensure uninterrupted laboratory services with optimal turnaround times (TAT).
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards (e.g., ISO 15189, CAP, PNAC, PHCC) and IHHN
Laboratory SoP's.
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely release of test results; review and verify test results before reporting, where
authorized.
Operate, maintain, and monitor laboratory equipment and analyzers; report malfunctioning.
- Ensure adherence to duty rosters and laboratory discipline.
Report incidents, spills, or occupational exposures promptly.
Escalate critical values and urgent findings as per policy.
- Ensure proper storage of samples according to sample retention policy.
Rejection of tests if required based on certain criteria described in SoPs.
- Ensure maintenance of environmental and refrigerator / freezer temperature logs.
- Monitoring designated section stocks, ensuring timely availability of inventory and its proper consumption on daily
basis.

Perform internal quality control according to laid down QC plan, review I plot, take corrective actions when
required.

Maintain quality indicators and continuous improvement programs; ensure accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality
of laboratory results.
- Ensure availability of reagents, consumables, and supplies while controlling costs and maintain inventory.
- Maintain appropriates records and statistics, monitor KPIs and make measures to improve the KPIs.
- Perform any other task assigned by the Head of Department that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
