A.Patient Transportation:
Ø Safely transport patients between healthcare facilities and within the
hospital.
Ø Ensure patient comfort and safety during transport.
Ø Secure patients appropriately using stretchers and restraints when
indicated.
Ø
Communicate patient condition during handover using
SBAR or approved communication tools.
B. Ambulance Responsibilities:
Ø Ensure ambulance readiness before every shift.
Ø Check emergency equipment and supplies daily.
Ø Verify oxygen cylinder levels and suction equipment.
Ø Ensure emergency medications and consumables are available and within
expiry.
Ø Maintain ambulance cleanliness and infection prevention standards.
Ø
Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
Ø Complete patient care records accurately and timely.
Ø Maintain transport logs.
Ø Document treatments, interventions, and observations.
Ø Report incidents according to hospital policy.
Ø Follow infection prevention and control (IPC)
guidelines.
Ø Practice hand hygiene.
Ø Properly use PPE.
Ø Safely dispose of medical waste and sharps.

Maintain emergency
equipment including:
Ø Cardiac monitor
Ø Defibrillator/AED
Ø Suction machine
Ø Oxygen delivery devices
Ø Ambu bag
Ø Spine board
Ø Splints
Ø Stretcher and wheelchair
