An experienced Senior doctor capable of taking responsibility of Critically ill patients of MICU & MHDU and work as Team Lead. Should play central role in managing sick patients in cooperation with MO/SMO, Nursing, communicating with Faculty on Call and counselling with patient and Family.
Complete management of all MICU and MHDU patients.
Management of airway and ventilatory support, sedation, analgesia and vasopressors/inotropes in MICU.
Management of NIV/airway support/Intubation in MHDU and MICU.
Passing Central lines/ DL catheters / Art. Line / Femoral sheath / LP, in MICU and MHDU.
Dealing with emergencies in Critical Care Medicine Department i.e., cardiac arrest, Arrhythmias, shock, & Team Lead on duty for Rapid Response Team.
Clinical & Point Of Care Ultrasound based management of fluid balance in MICU.
Administrative role as shift supervisor in the absence of senior and ensure regular and effective communication with hospital staff and medical officers.
Keep updated knowledge by attending and delivering CME/education of MO & Nursing Staff & initiate and participate in Research activities in IMCC.
Monthly non-clinical & Clinical (Morbidity & Mortality) meetings & presentations.
Coordination between Primary team, ER & administration.
Counselling of families and patients of Critical Care Medicine.
Daily assessment of MICU/MHDU patients & rounds with consultant followed by documentation in HMIS.
Follow IHHN CPG for patient management where available and SOP’s for infection control & invasive procedures.
Handover / Takeover of patients on bedside to next shift Registrar at the end of shift/Step down & On Admission.
Transportation & Care of Critically ill / Intubated patient to other department of IHHN i.e. Imaging.
