JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible of coding and abstracting of inpatient and daycare discharges according to prescribed classification / procedure.
TASK & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Code Inpatient/Outpatient and day care discharges using coding classification and TIH guidelines
- Prepare standard reports from coded / abstract data provided under the supervision of the Coding Assistant Manager.
- Participate in clinical audit meetings to enhance accuracy of coding and rectify anomalies in the existing abstract
- Update histopathology of coded charts daily
- Monthly update daycare and inpatient discharges report
- Monthly update discharges report based on specialty
- Trace and code all medical record folders that were not coded on the very next day
- Trace and code backlog discharges
- Any other task that is assigned by the Head / Assistant Manager coding.
