Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Application Architect who has in-depth experience with both monolithic and microservices architectures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, high-performing applications and guiding the transition from traditional monolithic systems to a microservices-based architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Trend Tracking:

• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and patterns to keep our stack modern

Architectural Design:

• Analyze, design, and document end-to-end software architecture for enterprise applications.

• Assess existing monolithic systems, identify bottlenecks, and recommend refactoring strategies.

• Design new applications or modules using microservices principles, ensuring scalability, modularity, and fault tolerance.

AI-Native & Agentic Software Development

Lead and promote AI-native software development practices, with hands-on experience in agentic coding and the use of AI coding agents across the software development lifecycle, including requirements/specification analysis, architecture and design, code generation, code review, test generation, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and deployment support.

Spec-Driven & AI-Native Development

• Hands-on experience in Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and demonstrated experience of developing software products using detailed specifications, acceptance criteria, and machine-verifiable requirements as the basis for development and testing.

• Experience combining Spec-Driven Development with agentic coding, enabling AI agents to participate across the development lifecycle while maintaining appropriate human architectural and engineering oversight.

System Modernization & Migration:

• Lead the decomposition of monolithic applications into microservices.

• Provide roadmap and best practices for progressive modernization.

• Support hybrid architecture strategies (monolith + microservices coexistence).

Technical Leadership:

• Define and enforce architecture standards, coding guidelines, and performance benchmarks and ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across all products

• Guide development teams on service boundaries, database design, API development, and inter-service communication.

DevOps & Deployment:

• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD pipeline setup, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Support deployment to on-premise, hybrid, or cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environments.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers and other SDLC team members to align technical direction with business goals.

• Communicate complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
