Job Summary
The Deputy Manager – Procurement will lead and manage procurement activities for direct material supplies, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely availability, quality, and compliance with IHHN procurement policies and procedures. The role will focus on strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for direct material supplies, ensuring timely and cost-effective availability.
- Manage supplier sourcing, selection, evaluation, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, discounts, and commercial terms with suppliers while maintaining quality and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant hospital committees and stakeholders to ensure appropriate procurement of direct materials.
- Review and compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery, performance, and discounts to optimize procurement costs.
- Develop alternate sources for critical and single-source direct material items to ensure continuity of supply.
- Ensure procurement activities are compliant, transparent, auditable, and aligned with IHHN policies and procedures.
- Lead and monitor the procurement team, review performance, and drive process improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree / MBA in supply chain (preferred)
6-8 years of relevant experience
