Job Description
- Supervise the receipt, storage, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in hospital locations.
- Ensure accurate stock records and inventory levels in the warehouse system.
- Monitor stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO (First in First Out / First Expiry First Out) principles.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure medicines are stored according to recommended temperature, humidity, and safety conditions.
- Monitor cold chain management for temperature-sensitive medications.
- Inspect incoming pharmaceutical supplies for quality, expiry dates, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Coordinate timely supply of medicines and consumables to pharmacy outlets, wards, and departments.
- Monitor stock requests and ensure prompt fulfillment.
- Prevent Stock-outs and overstocking through proper planning and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and drug storage standards.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
- Monitor handling and disposal of expired or damaged medicines according to regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain warehouse records including stock registers, receiving logs, and dispatch records.
- Prepare inventory and consumption reports for management review.
- Monitor and supervise activities Of all reporting Staff; conduct trainings for junior Staff.
- Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
