ü Perform ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecological, and small parts studies under supervision of radiologist/resident.
ü Ensure accurate image acquisition and documentation of preliminary report for radiologist /resident reporting/ review.
ü Assist radiologists in ultrasound-guided procedures (FNAC, Biopsies, collection drainage) when required.
ü Identify critical findings and promptly inform the radiologist for in time reporting.
ü Maintain critical alerts record register as per policy.
ü Confirm patient identity, clinical history, and informed consent.
ü Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and privacy during procedures.
ü Maintain imaging quality standards and compliance with protocols.
ü Conduct routine checks of ultrasound equipment and report faults to the biomedical department.
ü Support standardization of ultrasound practices across the department.
ü Maintain logs, workload statistics, and performance records.
ü Assist in development and review of ultrasound SOPs and protocols.
ü Coordinate with radiologists and clinical teams for smooth workflow.
ü Support departmental planning and service enhancement initiatives.
ü Upload images, edit, and manage reports in the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) in timely manners.
ü Maintain appropriates records and statistics, monitor KPIs and make measures to improve the KPIs.
ü Maintain, store and consume inventory items (tissue roll, Gel, Ball points etc) used in department.
ü Comply with institutional policies, departmental SoP's, and accreditation standards.
ü Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality, infection control, safety, data protection, and ethical standards.
ü Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
