The Program Associate is responsible for facilitating, managing and overseeing the community engagement process. This includes the management and documentation of field activities by community health workers, overseeing and building relationships with community facilitators. Most importantly, Program Assistants will initiate SALT activities and facilitate community trainings in conjunction with the Community Trainer.
Outreach (80%)
Data Management:
Collect and compile field data reported by field teams using CEC tools and concisely report to Program
Manager
Present community data to internal and external stakeholders in an effective way
Utilize community engagement approaches to ensure field processes are benchmarked according to
programmatic targets
Develop robust community profiles for local populations engaged
Liaise between field teams and other departments within the CEC and partners looking to collaborate
Report Writing
Performance Management:
Utilising the Connect, Empower, Develop model to ensure performance indicators are regularly
measured and shared with CHWs on a monthly basis
Play a part in conducting and facilitating monitoring and evaluation activities within the Outreach
department
Liaise between CHWs and Supervisors for troubleshooting purposes
Training and Learning (20%)
Facilitate Training and Learning department with all trainings related to community engagement as
and when needed
Play a part in training CHWs, Field Supervisors and Managers on program protocols
Record CHW feedback regarding training needs and requirements to enhance Training and Learning department’s products
Able to make presentations to internal management and external collaborators
