Job Description
Global Health Directorate of the Indus Health Network is currently seeking medical coding interns as part of the Monitoring & Evaluation team. This is a six-month long unpaid internship (stipend and transport provided), that may extend into a full-time position.
In this role you will:
Apply your knowledge of various diseases to medically code EMR data via ICD-10 coding
Convert raw clinical data from primary care sites into useful actionable data
Develop your skills by learning ICD-10 coding and its applications in disease monitoring, analysis and research
Perform work according to predefined data quality and production standards
You will be suited to this role if you are:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in physiology, or related health-science field
Knowledgeable about a wide range of clinical diseases and processes
Familiar with MS Excel
Interested in expanding your portfolio to include medical coding for monitoring and evaluation purposes
Motivated and have a willingness to learn
Attentive to detail
